It was a really good night. Last night, I had a lot of fun. I met some
new girlfriends for drinks and snacks and a book-signing with one of the most stylish and at the same time completely endearing
and charming men ever, Mr. Isaac Mizrahi. The girl-time was delightful - I needed a dose of good conversation with smart,
stylish and funny women and this was way more than I could have asked for! My newest "online" friend from one of my writing
gigs invited me to join her and some of her friends and they were just so lovely. Then, our visit to Borders for Mr. Mizrahi's
Q-n-A was funny, low-key, and all-around terrific.
Next up, a quick stop by my parents to pick up a "spare" DVD player (mine
broke; turns out theirs doesn't work either. . . more on THAT later. . . ) then out to meet a childhood friend-turned recent
friend-again for drinks. We decided on Johnny's Hideaway, as we were both in the mood for. . . people watching! I like the
kitschy charm of Johnny's personal champagne (served in these adorable splits) so over a few drinks, we watched the crowd
and swapped tidbits that we pinky-swore not to divulge to other parties.
I think it's one of the best nights I've had in, well, awhile.
